SpiriTrance - Starlight

For those of you who haven't heard of SpiriTrance:

SpiriTrance is a series of progressive trance mixes mixed by me, DJ Azalea, right at home. It is simply a culmination of one of my favorite hobbies. Trance to me is music that heals. It's fun, soothing, authentic, and carries with it a continuous aura of peace. For me, it is something of a sanctuary.

After a bit of a hiatus...here is mix #22. It's quite progressive and has a mix of old and new songs. I swear, I will do more song research and stop recycling so many songs. I spent endless hours trying to sift through songs and put this together, so I really do hope you enjoy listening to it and appreciating the art of trance music.

1. Tilt - Southern Sky
I tend to include a lot of Tilt in my mixes so here's a bit of background on them. Tilt is a progressive trance treal made of John Graham (Quivver), Michael Park, and Michael Wilson originally. Graham left and was replaced by Andy Moor in 2004. Very rarely have I disliked anything they've released (originals). Their stuff is solid, real progressive trance. They do branch into other styles (Rising Son, for example - more breakbeat/chill).

2. Aalto - 5 (Original Mix)
I had this song way back in Love Factory 17 mixes ago WTF?!). I must really like this song if I'm going to include it in two mixes :P Or maybe it just fits really well. Or both.

3. Darren Tate - The Eternal (Big Piano Mix)
Crazy weird song with a piano twist to it. I like pretty much anything by Darren, though some are more noticeably polished. This one is a bit trippy, though still good.

4. Andain - Summer Calling (Josh Gabriel Mix)
Classic trance from Tranceport, but I've heard it in quite a few other mixes. It's always cited in trance classics. Great track (but whiny if you don't like that type).

And when it hurts for me
I never felt so empty
Then the rain has its way
Falling
Falling

Those summer mornings
You kissed me out of my next dream
Then without warning
It goes away

And then it goes
And then it goes
And then it...goes

Search to find you somewhere
As winds began to sway
Got in my car and just
driving
driving

Those summer mornings
I danced inside your warm embrace
You hear me calling
And now you're gone

5.Orkidea - Beautiful (Marc Mitchell Remix)
Interesting track - it's Orkidea and I love what they produce. Shiny trance, I like to call it, but with a bass line interesting enough to make it a unique work of art. Orkidea and Marc Mitchell make an awesome team.

6. Markus Schulz vs. Andy Moor - Daydream (Ormatie Remix)
I had this song in a mix not long ago but pulled it up again because it's so...nocturnal.

7. DT8 Project - Hold Me Till the End (Club Mix)
Gorgeous song from the Perfect World album. Great for romantics.

(Hold me)
('Till the end)
('Till the end)

Voiceless whispers
Running through my head
Haunting Vespers
Press from the dead

There are lights on
The path is clear ahead
I was certain
You'd be there 'till the end

Oh, oh
Hold me 'till the end
Oh, oh

Shine a light on
Show the lighted path
Feel them rising
Reaching from the path

Stars cascading
Light beyond the clouds
Empty rivers
Flowing empty now

Oh, oh
Hold me 'till the end
Oh, oh
I'll take you to the end

Oh, oh
Hold me 'till the end
Oh, oh
I'll take you to the end

La la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la

Hold me 'till the end
I'll take you to the end
Oh, oh

Hold me 'till the end
I'll take you to the end
Oh, oh

Hold me 'till the end

La la la
La la la
La la la
La la la
La la la

8. Sunlounger- One More Day (Dance Version)
I had this song back in Tranquilizer. It's one of my favorite songs sung by a guy. Lyrics below.

Alone with your thought, no meaning no home
There's room in your heart, to know love
You can hide, you can run, but before it's just that
There's room in your heart, to know dreaming

Just one more day, I need to try
Another way, won't let it take us by
Just let it be, reach out and touch
Don't you know, it's never too much

9. Darren Tate - Nocturnal Creatures (Original Mix)
Third Darren track here. This one is more like a traditional Darren Tate song.

10. Jono Grant vs. Mike Koglin - Circuits (Original Mix)
Nice progressive song with an artful buildup and pretty melody.

11. Goldenscan - Halcyon
Another classic, first heard a version of it in Resident Transmission 2 (Matt Hardwick's mix).

12. Meridian - Reach for the Stars
Oh Airwave, why do you always make such original tracks? This is very much an Airwave track...his style is always so distinctive.
